What we do for Teens

Our Teen Services Department is dedicated to helping teens navigate their transition to adulthood through active engagement with social resources, group programs, and an ever-expanding collection of books, games, and technology.

  • Focusing on schoolwork? Set up your study group in one of our booths and use the whiteboard tables to take notes, or use our Brainfuse database to access homework help or 24-hour writing lab support.
  • Love gaming? Our fully tricked out MSI computers host a growing catalog of PC games, including Stardew Valley, Cult of the Lamb, Dredge, Spore, Graveyard Keeper, and Diplomacy is Not an Option. Don’t forget to check out one of our specialty gaming keyboards, headsets, and xbox controllers to enhance your gaming experience!
  • Ready to read? The YA collection at Derby Neck has something for everyone, whether you’re into high-concept urban fantasy, dystopian biopunk, or contemporary coming-of-age romance. We also have one of the biggest and best collections of manga and graphic novels in the Valley!
