Join us for a special Banned Books Week presentation of Storm Center (1956) starring the great Bette Davis as a librarian fired for refusing to remove a book from the shelves. Writer-director Daniel Taradash’s film, made at the tail end of the second Red Scare, is grimly applicable to contemporary battles pitting censorship against the freedom to read. Hot, fresh popcorn will be served!
