DESCRIPTION:Taverns in early Connecticut were more than just a place to dri
 nk. Travelers and locals alike saw taverns a a place to be entertained\, s
 pread news and gossip\, have a good meal\, and get a night's lodging. Lear
 n about how taverns were an essential part of every Connecticut town. \n\
 nThis program will be presented by Rachel Beauchemin\, a Museum Educator a
 t the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History. Rachel develops and tea
 ches educational programs for school and adult audiences. She has had expe
 rience in both education and museums in CT and holds a B.A. in Political
  Science and Women’s Studies from Gettysburg College.\n\nRegistration is
  not required for this program.
