DESCRIPTION:On the third Monday of every month\, parents with little ones a
 re invited to join us after our morning program for snacktime in our Child
 ren’s Room! We’ll have an activity and guest speaker on a variety of t
 opics\, followed by a period of free play and socialization. Light refresh

 enter/Music TherapyBekah DeMieri is a Licensed Master Social Worker and bo
 ard-certified music therapist. A music therapist for over 18 years\, Bekah
  has worked with children and families in hospitals\, private/special educ
 ation schools\, and private practice. As a Licensed Master Social Worker i
 n outpatient mental health\, has allowed her to integrate music therapy wi
 th mental health counseling to support individuals in meaningful ways.A fu
 n fact about Bekah is that she can usually think of a song lyric for just 
 about any situation. It's become such a habit that family and friends aren
 't surprised when she responds to something with a line from a song! Join 
 her at this Library event and learn how music can support your child's emo
 tional\, social\, cognitive\, and physical development. Through interactiv
 e demonstrations and discussion\, caregivers will discover how singing\, m
 ovement\, rhythm\, and play can help young children express emotions\, dev
 elop communication skills\, strengthen self-regulation\, and build meaning
 ful connections with caregivers.This session will explore how music can be
  used to support healthy child development\, strengthen adult-child relati
 onships\, and encourage learning through everyday interactions. Caregivers
  will leave with ideas for simple\, practical musical activities they can 
 incorporate into daily routines to promote connection\, emotional well-bei
 ng\, and developmental growth.
